Dear Reader
Theories that associate DNA to weight have just gotten
a major boost due to the discovery by European researchers
of a genetic variation that almost guarantees a person
will be obese.
The variation in question appears in 7 out of every
1,000 severely obese people, and may also be linked
to mental retardation and learning disabilities. The
investigation appears in the February 4. 2010 issue
of the British journal Nature.
