If you spend lots of time behind the wheel, you might be at increased risk of skin cancer based on the findings of a new study in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Skin cancers on the face were found to happen most often on the left side (the side that's next to the window when driving) among a group of almost 1,050 patients in Saint Louis. The association was most pronounced in men.

According to new research, the first to look at a very recent time period, appearing in the Journal of the American Medical Association, improvements in risk factors like lowering those cholesterol numbers and blood pressure readings account for a significant decline in heart disease deaths.
