A new study finds that men who have prostate cancer that has not spread from the gland itself can be helped by one of the most common, most readily available drugs of western medicine - the aspirin. Researchers report that the risk of dying from this form of cancer was cut by more than half by aspirin or another anticoagulant (blood thinning) medication. The benefit was most prominent in those who had high-risk disease.
