Have You Seen Linda Allen's new Candida System yet? It's called "Yeast Infection No More"

I've read the whole thing (all 150 pages) and there's some great information in there about how to naturally and permanently eliminate your yeast infection without drugs, creams or any kind of gimmicks. I highly recommend it - it's very honest and straightforward without all the hype and b.s. you see all over the net these days.

Why Women Are Healthier, Live Longer Than Men...

Dear Reader,

It's a widely accepted fact that women can live up to 5 to 10 years longer, and often better, then men. But why?

Researchers have been trying to answer this question for some time now. We may be a step closer to understanding thanks to some recent research.

It might just be down to the extra X chromosome women have and the micro RNA it contains. For those who can't exactly remember their high school biology, men have one X chromosome and one Y chromosome, while women have two X's. The microRNA on these chromosomes tells the genes what to do (or not to do).

A team of researchers from Ghent, Belgium mapped every bit of microRNA on the X chromosome in both people and mice. As part of the work they were able to highlight the microRNA that plays a part in the immune systems ability to fight off everything from a simple infection to cancer. Since so much of it appears on the X chromosome, this may well give women a genetic edge when it comes to disease.

So, women get a backup chromosome, while men only have one... and no backup.

There's a theory that some genes on the X chromosome might be inactive, and this leaves men at a disadvantage because they don't have more than the one X. That extra X women have may be a buffer to what is defective on a single X chromosome.

Some other reasons women may live longer:

- Women develop heart diseases almost 10 years later than men.

- They avoid the dangerous "testosterone storm" men experience in the late teens, early 20s.

- Men who attempt suicide are more likely to succeed than women.

- Men smoke more, don't handle stress as well, and tend to eat more high cholesterol foods

And while women live longer and are less likely to develop some disease, we are at higher risk for autoimmune disorders like lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.

Environment also plays an important part in how long, and how well, you live. Perhaps as much as 70%. That's good news - meaning behavior changes toward a healthier lifestyle can have quite an impact.

Why Women Are Healthier, Live Longer Than Men... Continued...

It's also likely that hormones like progesterone and estrogen may have a role in how the immune system functions when it comes to disease. Female hormones have certainly shown themselves to be helpful in terms of heart health.

That leaves as much as 30% of longevity as a result of genetics. So while we can't escape our father's red hair or our mother's fair skin, we may also carry unseen risks for disease in the form of troublesome mutations that we can only help by the way we live. A healthy lifestyle will slow down the process; maybe even keep people from getting a disease at all.

Interesting that the gender gap is quite pronounced for those who live to be 100 years or more. At this age, women outnumber men 9 to 1. Female longevity is a trend that's been in place for centuries... most likely since at least the 1500s. Men tend to die from conditions like heart disease, stroke and cancer, while women tend to live on with non-fatal conditions.

To your good health,
